Positive: The location was fabulous The house is aesthetically pleasing Really enjoyed the fynbos view from the lounge House is spacious and if was really nice having a hot tub Sitting in the tub at night chatting and looking at the stars was magical Seeing the zebra around the house was wonderful It was very quiet and peaceful The beach was in walking distance
Negative: The hot tub was not cleaned before we arrived however we did make use of it on the first night of our stay after taking all the bugs and leaves out. We decided to keep the hot tub closed so that the water would stay warm and we did not have to use too much wood heating it on the second night On the second day the hot tub was cleaned and filled with cold water so we had to restart with the heating of the water. The one shower floods the bathroom which meant the mats were constantly wet during our stay. There are no braai tongs and I feel that there could be a few more drinking glasses There is no grass around the house at all, the courtyard as well as the area around the hot tub is gravel which meant the children had to wear shoes all the time as the stones hurt their feet. The WiFi did not work for our entire stay. At check in this was communicated to us. We were told to restart the modem as Telkom had switched the WiFi off. The first day someone was sent to look at the modem after it was reported that the WiFi was connecting but not working. We were advised that it was a Telkom issue and they could not get it to work. The second day another person came to look at the modem and said it was a Telkom issue and I should call Telkom. I did not want to waste time that could be spent with my family trying to fix the WiFi and as a result I left it. Why was this not resolved prior to our check in if it was known that Telkom had switched the WiFi off and it was not working?
