Avismoor has been a family holiday home for almost 50 years. It was recently modernised and has new kitchen, bathrooms, heating and hot water systems. It is a fantastic place to spend a family holiday or for a group of friends to go away for a short break. The cabin sits in 3 acres of land in a secluded Glen 1 mile from Kirkmichael. The village has two pubs, a general store, a café and postal services. Its an easy walk to the village along a safe road and it takes about 15 minutes. The cabin has plenty of space to relax in. There is a large open plan kitchen, dinning, living room with a large conservatory leading from it. There is a log burning stove in the living room, one in the conservatory (second living space) and the kitchen is fully equipped. There are 4 large bedrooms: 1 super king with ensuite shower, 1 king, 1 bunk room which sleeps 4 (triple bunk with double bed and singe on top plus a single bed) and a bunk room that sleeps 2. There is a family bathroom with shower and a separate loo. The house is entered by a hall way with plenty of space to hang coats and leave boots. There is a utility room with a washing machine and there is a dryer on site too. The garden has been beautifully landscaped in keeping with its woodland situation. There is a lawn for playing badminton, football or tig. There are paths leading through the woods to a small river which is great fun for kids to splash around in. And there are dens to hide in, trees and rocks to climb, paths to explore and loads of wildlife to discover. The cabin is an all year round retreat. In the summer there are swimming holes to plunge into, loads of walks to discover, plenty of terrace to sunbath from or BBQ or socialise. In the winter when there is often snow it's great to sledge, go for long walks and come back to the cosy cabin for reclette or just a great cup of hot coco. The cabin is 25 minutes by car from the ski slopes at Glen Shee. There are lots of places on the way to hire equipment which can be booked in advance.
