4 Bedroom House in Bar Harbor

Mayapple Cottage is a 4-bedroom, 3-bath house, which sleeps eight, situated on 1.4 wooded acres. It is located 2 miles from the Hulls Cove Visitor Center/main entrance to Acadia National Park and 4 miles from downtown Bar Harbor. You can walk 5 minutes to Frenchman’s Bay or to the free Island Explorer bus, whose routes cover the Park and island during the tourist season.
The first floor has an open floor design with a well-equipped kitchen, living and dining rooms, a bedroom, and a full bath, along with a roomy laundry area with washer and dryer. The dining room sliding glass doors open to a new large and glassy 3-season room with a cathedral ceiling which is connected to a large sunny deck. The backyard contains a picnic table, a patio with a gas grill and fire pit, and plenty of room for play. The second floor features a master bedroom with its own full bathroom, two other bedrooms, a full bath, and a light and airy study with an outside deck. The study also features a Bose CD/smartphone player and many CDs. The living room and study contain HD televisions with cable and Blu-Ray players as well as books, movies, games and puzzles for all ages. Wifi is throughout the home as well as needed items for babies and toddlers. The large front porch is a favorite reading and gathering spot.
A breezeway with attached garage and private apartment above it was built in 2019, where our property manager Jill lives, a senior citizen who has been caring for our home for nearly a decade and can be a resource if needed.
