Kitchen of 20 square meters fully equipped with small and large appliances and overlooking the garden and the street. Located in the urban area of a small village of 1.000 inhabitants, Santa Marina del Rey, in the centre of the province of León with very good communications by motorways with Galicia, Portugal, Asturias and Madrid. Quiet and peaceful place, with easy parking. The owners live in the property next door. Restaurants, cafes and supermarkets at 300 metres, sports centre, swimming pools and river at 400 metres. Strategically located about 15 minutes drive from the monumental city of Astorga, born as a Roman military camp of the Legio X Gemina at the end of the 1st century B.C., shortly after it was transformed into a civilian centre. After the end of successive destructions of the city, it was plunged into a prolonged lethargy until the revitalisation of the urban centre in the 11th century, when the Camino de Santiago (Pilgrims' Route to Santiago de Compostela) gave impetus to the revitalisation of the city. Among its most representative monuments are the Cathedral; the Episcopal Palace, the work of Gaudí; the Town Hall and the Roman Ergastula, all of which have been declared Sites of Cultural Interest. The capital of the province, León, is 25 km away, with its historical and monumental heritage, as well as various celebrations that take place throughout the year, including Easter Week, and its location as an obligatory stop on the Pilgrim's Route to Santiago de Compostela, considered a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, make it a city that receives both national and international tourism. Among its most representative monuments are the Cathedral, the best example of French-style classical Gothic architecture in Spain, the Basilica of San Isidoro, one of the most important Romanesque churches in Spain and the tomb of the medieval kings of León, the Monastery of San Marcos, the first example of Spanish Plateresque and Renaissance architecture, and the Casa Botines, in the modernist style and designed by the brilliant Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí; all of them declared Sites of Cultural Interest. An outstanding example of modern architecture, and one of the city's museums, is the MUSAC, by Mansilla + Tuñón Arquitectos.in Hospital de Orbigo, just 5 minutes away, we can enjoy the Puente del Paso Honroso (Bridge of the Honourable Passage). It is a medieval bridge from the 13th century, built over the river Órbigo. It seems too big for the size of the river, but before the construction of the Barrios de Luna reservoir, this river had a great flow. It has 19 arches and is quite well preserved. Restorations were carried out at different times. It has been a national monument since 1939. It is located on the ancient Roman road that ran from León (Legio Septima Gemina) to Astorga, which in Roman times was the capital of the province of Asturica Augusta.
