Three night stays are available for last minute and fall reservations. Pets are now allowed with some breed, age and weight restrictions. Seclusion, serenity and relaxation are easy to find in this very private home, Kaptain's Treasure.
Ther are five bedrooms including FOUR KING bedrooms and one bedroom with a duobunk and twin. (double bed and two twins)
500 feet will take you to the 4x4 beach or to Carova's own public park. The peaceful surroundings are only the foundation for the serenity you will enjoy at Kaptain’s Treasure. Lounge around the huge private pool or in the 6 person hot tub while watching the kids splash in their very own private kiddie pool. Have a picnic in the outdoor dining or move indoors for some diversion in the game room with pool table, kitchenette with refrigerator and microwave as well as comfortable seating and television. Every bedroom and living room is connected to DISH and most of the tv's are also smart!
The sleeping level boasts 4 bedrooms: two king rooms with private baths, and two more rooms that share a bath, one with a king bed and the other with a duo-bunk and a twin bed. Moving up to the third level, you will find another king bedroom with private bath and a spacious living area with half bath.
The living room / dining area will hold the central crowd, but don’t worry if you want a quiet place to unwind. Kaptain’s Treasure has a delightful sun room located just off the dining area for those indescribable moments of peace and quiet! Take a moment to enjoy watching the horses and gazing at the ocean from all levels of this beautiful home.
Head west for a quick walk and you will come to the Carova Park which will entice young and old with fishing, kayaking, boating, picnicking and more. You will be amazed at the number of stars in the incredible night sky! This home is truly a treasure for all, so listen to the captain who knows best. Come visit Kaptain’s Treasure!

Saturday check in - 4 wheel drive vehicle required - Sheets provided - Dogs allowed with some restrictions, no cats - Towels available for a fee - Approximately 8 miles up the 4x4 beach Pool and hot tub will be open Mid May to end of Sept. Parking at the house is free and unlimited. Guests will use the two season passes that belong to the house when parking on the beach. No graduation or event groups of any kind are allowed in our homes.

Summary: Kaptain’s Treasurer is a beautiful vacation home. Our family appreciated how well thought out the property is for vacation hopes and needs. The 4x4 access only property was a new experience and for first time OBX vacation, this was a full committed experience. The daily observation of the horses was a breathtaking sight. Wonderful family time.
