On the main floor of the home, guests will find a large living room, spacious dining area, bright kitchen and two of the three bedrooms.
The second level of the home has been converted into a lovely self-contained suite, complete with a comfortable queen-sized bed, small desk nook with electric fireplace and lounge area that includes a large, comfortable sectional, flatscreen TV and incredible movie collection. In the backyard, guests will find a large propane BBQ and a comfortable four-person seating area with a large fire pit table, perfect for enjoying cooler Cowichan evenings.
This home offers guests a rare opportunity to both experience the charm of Cowichan Bay living and explore Southern Vancouver Island with ease! The village of Cowichan Bay is just minutes away where you can find a charming houseboat community, incredible seaside restaurants, boutiques, handmade ice cream and one of the finest bakeries on Vancouver Island!
The Cowichan Valley has so much to offer - find great shopping, dining, and culture in the the nearby city of Duncan, visit incredible wineries throughout the region, enjoy a sunny day on a golf course, check out a local farmers market, do a tasting at a local brewery, cidery or distillery and be sure to try some of the award-winning restaurants to get a ‘taste’ of the Valley! Access to the home is by greeter who will meet you to check you into the house and will provide a code keypad on the front door.
You will need a vehicle for getting around the valley as transit services are limited. There is parking for one vehicle in the driveway.
There is no additional parking in front of the home as we are on a cul-de-sac and there is no room for this. Otherwise there is limited street parking on the other side of the street. We may be able to accommodate a second vehicle in the driveway depending on availability - please inquire with us if this is something you need.
The third bedroom is up a flight of stairs and located within the large, open-concept den/family room area.
We do not have cable. There is a Chromecast for streaming.
If you wish to add another bedroom and suite to your stay, there is a carriage suite above the secondary exterior garage that can be booked separately or by other guests if only the main house is being rented.
