A well-equipped kitchen and dining room has a homely feel, whilst the comfortable living room boasts views down towards the dramatic coastline. The double bedrooms offer amazing sea views, perfect for relaxing. Sandsend is a quaint picturesque village situated on the edge of the North York Moors National Park, offering miles of award-winning sandy beaches, streams and rock pools. The village boasts some wonderful facilities including an award-winning restaurant, a bistro, a pub serving food and three beachside cafés. The local convenience store stocks everyday items and more, including pies made by a local butcher and freshly made sandwiches.
There are also many walks close by, with some forming part of the Cleveland Way, which runs along the top of the bay and offers fabulous views of the dramatic Yorkshire Heritage Coast. The coastline from Saltburn-by-the-Sea to Filey is a place of rugged beauty, with many isolated fishing villages such as Staithes, Runswick Bay and Robin Hood’s Bay.
The popular seaside resort of Whitby attracts visitors from all over the world all year round. The area hosts various festivals including the biannual Goth Weekender, Folk Festival and Whitby Regatta as well as music festivals. There is always something happening in the town but it is possibly most famous for its links with Bram Stoker’s Dracula.
