Walk for 2 minutes and you will be at the Statue of Liberty. Enjoy the Alki Beach waterfront walk 1.6 miles to get to Alki Beach Pier, with breathtaking views. The Space Needle and the Seattle skyline can be appreciated from this great angle to take pictures of Seattle. Elliott Bay offers panoramic views west to the mountains of the Olympic Peninsula and north towards downtown. You are in walking distance to many great restaurants, shops and most importantly- steps away from the beach.
Enjoy the Puget Sound views. If you decide you've relaxed enough, you can get involved in the action! There are plenty of rental vendors nearby to gear you up for whichever adventure you'd like to take on that day. The neighborhood wraps around the coastline of West Seattle giving you jaw-dropping views of the Seattle cityscape. Just don't forget to turn around! In the charming beach town behind you, sits Alki Beach Park packed full of restaurants, cafes, and bars. You will also find a brewery hosting yoga sessions, beach shops, historic landmarks, and several iconic restaurants in Seattle. We're happy to share our recommendations with you! Running parallel to the sandy beach, cyclists, runners, longboarders, and rollerbladers can take advantage of a paved, 2.5-mile-long pathway. Bicycles, kayaks, and stand-up paddleboards are conveniently available for rent. On a sunny day, you might just want to pull up a lounge chair and snag yourself one of the grills and firepits there for public use.
GETTING AROUND
The West Seattle Water Taxi is the best way to get to and from downtown Seattle, leaving from its dock near the Seattle Ferry Terminal downtown. This 15-minute boat ride drops you right off on the eastern end of Alki Beach. There is streetside parking if you prefer to drive yourself. Downtown is about 20 minutes away, and Uber/Lyft are widely available.
