Whether you will later visit Lucca for the best sightseeing or Borgo a Mozzano for an ice cream and a river-side resting walk, returning to Gran Burrone Castle will catapult you back to its origins as a medieval stop for knights and pilgrims who traveled the Via Francigena from England to the Holy Land.
Outfitted to modern standards while retaining original interiors, details and decoration, the scenic town of Lucca is within a 25 min drive, Bagni di Lucca 10 mins drive, Castelnuovo Garfagnana 25 mins drive, Pisa and Florence 45 to 60 mins drive, Cinque Terre 1 hour and 20 mins.

Lower Floor: SPA with jacuzzi, wine cellar with private selection of the owner of the Castle (bottles can be bought), porch with outdoor dining, BBQ and outdoor kitchen
First Floor: 3 bedrooms laid out as follows: 2 bedrooms with 2 ensuite bathrooms, 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom
Notes: it is possible to reach the entrance gate of the garden by car through an unpaved country road, alternatively it is possible to leave the car at the parking outside the property and reach the rental on foot (140 metres away).

A wonderful cat which is the soul of the Castle lives in the garden. She loves people and cuddles, she is the most photographed character in the village, many of the castle's previous guests have dedicated drawings, rhymes and dedications to her in our guest book.
