On the first floor, there are two bedrooms—a double and a second with a bunk bed. The bathroom, which includes a bath and shower, is also situated on the first floor. Downstairs, you will find an open-plan living, kitchen, and dining area with everything you need to make your stay comfortable and convenient. The kitchen is equipped with a washing machine and dishwasher. In the living room, there is an electric fire and a Smart TV.
Outside, you can enjoy the shared grounds of this large Devonshire estate, including an adjacent courtyard, an outdoor heated swimming pool and a children’s play area. The estate offers you the freedom to explore the countryside, with access to the South West Coast Path and the popular Tarka Trail, which follows a disused railway line, offering stunning river and countryside scenery.
If you head to the beach to surf or simply relax, Woolacombe offers some of the best stretches of sand in the country. It boasts three miles of golden beaches, great surfing waves, and a fantastic coastal footpath with numerous walking opportunities. Families can spend the day by the sea—lifeguarded in the summer—building sandcastles, playing beach games, and exploring rock pools for marine life. The area is also famous for its breathtaking sunsets, often enjoyed by both locals and surfers. Just 2½ miles away, Woolacombe has shops, cafés, restaurants, and even a boutique cinema in a local hotel.
Exmoor National Park, with its magical night skies in Europe’s first Dark Sky Reserve, is only 10 miles away. Lynton and Lynmouth, 19 miles to the east, offer stunning sea views, rugged cliffs, and the historic funicular cliff railway—opened in 1890, it is the highest and steepest fully water-powered railway in the world.
Nearby, you’ll find several world-class beaches such as Saunton Sands, Croyde, and Westward Ho!—all famous for their surfing, vast stretches of sand, and impressive dunes. Golfers can enjoy the Championship Links course at Saunton, just 7 miles away, while fishing opportunities are also available nearby.
