The Square is a wonderful detached cottage that can be found in the pretty south Cheshire village of Handley, just 2 miles from Tattenhall and 8 miles from the historic walled city of Chester.
Full of characterful features throughout, you’ll find beautiful stone flag flooring on the ground floor, together with a wood burning stove in a magnificent beamed fire place. Upstairs, there’s 2 comfortable bedrooms, and outside a peaceful lawned garden to relax in at the end of a long days exploring.
Handley is a semi-rural village with an attractive Grade II* listed church, and offers spectacular countryside views towards the Welsh hills. Neighbouring, Tattenhall has ample amenities to cater for your needs including a general store, butchers and selection of public houses. Local to Tattenhall, you’ll also find the award-winning Cheshire Ice Cream Farm which sells a huge variety of ice cream, all of which are made on site. The surrounding area is home to the most amazing amount of wonderful attractions. You can experience the thrill of horse racing at Chester Racecourse, or visit some of the worlds most exotic animals at Chester Zoo, both 20 mins.
There’s the mighty Beeston Castle, 15 minutes away, where you can experience fabulous far reaching views over the surrounding local countryside or embark on some beautiful woodland walks. Delamere Forest, 30 minutes away, is also home to a vast selection of paths and cycle routes that span the entire forest together with the tree top adventure Go Ape! You can explore the stunning Cholmondeley Castle Gardens and treat yourself to lunch at their café, spend an afternoon at Cotebrook Shire Horse Centre, or visit Bolesworth Castle which sits in a beautiful parkland setting and annually plays host for CarFest North. If golf is more your game, Aldersey Green Golf Course is less than half a mile away, or Carden Park Golf Course and Spa can be reached in around 15 minutes.
