The town of Lynmouth went from a tiny fishing village to a thriving Victorian tourist resort dubbed ‘Little Switzerland’ due to it’s rolling hills, sheer cliffs and cascading rivers. The towns are separated by the highest water powered funicular railway in the World and adjoin the infamous craggy cliffs of The Valley of Rocks.
