Woodside is a spacious, detached, single storey cottage situated in open countryside with lovely views across the sea. This modern bungalow is set in its own large gardens with lawns, mature shrubs and patio areas, it offers peace and seclusion in a pretty country setting.
All the rooms are generously proportioned and have a warm, welcoming and homely feel. The main lounge has patio doors that open onto the gardens with fields and sea views beyond. There is a separate dining room adjoining. The spacious kitchen is well equipped and looks out across the bay. There are two good sized bedrooms, one en suite and a large family-sized bathroom. This is an ideal cottage for two couples or a family holiday.
Nearby Whitehills harbour on Scotland’s Dolphin Coast is packed with yachts - the historic fishing village has pubs and restaurants and you can enjoy freshly caught fish from ’Downeys’ famous fish shop. Less than 10 minutes walk away is a golden sandy beach, home to Banff Surf Club. Inland is Boyndie, which was home to an RAF Strike Wing in WWII, where Mosquito planes took off to attack U-boats in the North Sea.
Along the coast, picturesque old ’seatoun’ Portsoy was used as a film location for a remake of the Ealing classic ’Whicky Galore’.
