The wagon started life as a War Department vehicle in 1944. Built by Charles Roberts & Co to an LNER design, although the LNER had stopped making timber under frames for their own wagons of this type in the early 1930's.
The Ammunition wagon includes a double bed, sofa bed, TV, en-suite shower room/WC, BBQ (charcoal not provided), fridge, kettle, sink, multiple power sockets & heating for those chilly winter months. Outside you will find an individual private garden with outdoor seating and a BBQ, offering a great place to relax over looking the steam railway and surrounding Rother Valley.
All linens and towels will be provided for you and will be dressed on the beds ready for your arrival.
Don't feel like cooking? Within 1/2 a mile of the wagon you will find not 1 but 2 great places to eat, relax and enjoy the countryside.
