We’ve included a review from another booking platform as we’ve only just started advertising this property on HomeAway. We hope this will help you make a better decision on where to book for your holiday* Viv (Dec 2019): We stayed for 11 nights at 16 The Carracks over the Christmas period and had a great time. Everything was as described (if not better) and, being set up for six people, meant that for two of us and our dog, Cassie, there was plenty of space to spread out. The house is very modern and provided with everything you could want for a comfortable stay - if anything it got too hot for us at times until we had worked out the controls! Lisa always replied promptly and left lots of useful information for us. St Ives was a lovely place to be for Christmas. 16 The Carracks offers a fabulous, new eco friendly family home which is the perfect place to stay if you desire the beauty and convenience of St Ives without all the hustle and bustle. Here you will find beautiful countryside views whilst being within walking distance of the town centre, harbour and beaches. Arranged over three floors, the property also benefits from private parking and a noteworthy enclosed garden which is a true rarity in St Ives. The ground floor boasts a large open plan kitchen, dining, living room with double doors that lead out to the enclosed front garden. A separate WC located in the entrance hall completes the ground floor. The first floor comprises of a twin bedroom complete with TV and Xbox for guest use. A family bathroom with shower over bath facilities and a separate utility room with a washer/dryer. On the second floor you will find two large bedrooms with double beds both with their own shower room en suites. A shared vanity table with mirror will also be found within the second floor communal space. 16 The Carracks is the perfect balance between countryside, waterside and town living. Blending in seamlessly with it's surroundings The Carracks' contemporary eco houses are within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty owned by The National Trust. It attracts wildlife from deer to many different species of bird therefore an ideal location for walkers and nature enthusiasts alike. A walk up Rosewall Hill will reward you with panoramic views of the Cornish coastline towards St Ives.
