The small, modest village Prinos is well away from touristic hotspots, approx. 2km further inland and 14 km east of Rethimno. It is a typical Cretan village with traditional houses and small alleys set in a quiet and romantic surrounding with olive groves and vine yards. The villa Elya with pool is located on a large, enclosed and well-maintained garden property in the beautiful and quiet atmosphere of the village. In direct vicinity is the property of the holiday house Prinos that is also let to guests. The distance between the holiday houses is approx. 35m. The gardens are separated by a nice stone wall that also provides sight protection.
The free-standing, comfortable villa Elya with pool is tastefully furnished and provides highest standards for its guests. High ceilings, bright rooms are in perfect harmony with the selected furniture and the elegant fabrics. Tradition and modernity in perfect balance are reflected in the interior of the villa. The well-maintained, green garden around the pool invites you to relax and simply enjoy your holiday. The beautiful wide view across the surrounding landscape is very relaxing and calming. A large sliding door opens the complete front of the house towards the terrace and the pool and extends the living room to the outside. From the dining room and the kitchen you have direct access to a side terrace. The roofed terraces of the villa Elya are ideal locations to relax in the sun or enjoy a meal in the open in a shady spot. 1 bedroom with exit to the side terrace and a bathroom are on the ground level. 2 bedrooms with a shared bathroom are on the first floor. One of the bedrooms has direct access to a private roofed balcony that is the ideal place to read in quiet or relax and it has a magnificent view across the beautiful landscape. The 43sqm pool with surrounding lawn (4,5 x 9,5m, 1,30 to 1,60m deep, not heated, in operation from 1.05.-31.10.) is perfect for a refreshing splash to escape the summer heat.
The nearby town of Rethimno with its extensive promenade is ideal for a stroll. The small, picturesque Venetian harbour with its row upon row of tavernas and small boats is, if a little touristy, very atmospheric and enchanting. The pedestrian zone in the old town centre with its pretty narrow streets and traditional old houses is ideal for shopping and chic nights out. The 10 kilometres of sandy beaches that stretch along this stretch of coast from Rethimno to the north-east offer plenty of choice, with beach bars and natural beaches.
