LOCATION - LOCATION SNYDERS RUN BOAT LAUNCH PARKING LOT IS ENTRANCE TO THE CABIN Boat storage available with walking distance to lake. New kitchen area flooring, new updates to lighting/fans, and much more. Welcome to the closest privately owned cabin to the water on the northern end of the lake. The rustic early 1800s American chestnut log cabin is located at the entrance to Snyder’s Run Boat Launch, so convenient to the water; our driveway entrance is in the boat launch parking area. Please note, Corp of Engineers owns all ground to the lake, we do not own the property to the lake. The path to the lake is a well used path from continued use. We purchased this 120 acres in the early 1990's knowing what this lake offered to us and the general public, and we still own all 120 acres of lake view property today. This cabin was slated to be moved during the flooding in the late 1960's but was saved, and the character of this place remains the same today, unique with charm. What we want to offer guest is an original cottage/cabin from the old dam and that is what we do. History is important to us, and this cabin remains one of the most unique left standing on Raystown Lake today. What we offer at our cabin, is our rustic view of what a visit to Raystown should be. Enjoy the peaceful 2 minute walk to the water, leading to a peaceful inlet so convenient to swimming and fishing, or just floating around on a raft. Launch your boat at the launch down the hill, with no worry of finding a parking space, just park at the cabin, and walk to your boat. No boat, no problem, just walk down the hill to enjoy the lake. We also offer long term parking/storage for boats inside and outside parking seasonal, both summer & winter. Please note: No boat, jet ski, or kayak should be left unattended in cove below cabin. We border The Army Corp of Engineers Federal ground, and we strictly enforce all Corp of Engineers rules. You will enjoy the 1/2 mile dirt driveway to the cabin, with easy access for the guest to enjoy the peaceful drive following the inlet of Snyder’s Run Boat Launch. Directions: GPS to Snyder Run Boat Launch - boat launch is at the very end of Snyders Run Road. Enter into Snyder's Run Boat Launch parking area. Make right onto Valentine Lane (the driveway is in the parking lot of the boat launch) continue on Valentine Lane till you see fork in road. Continue straight, sign will say Lake View Trails. At next fork in the road continue left, and cabin is directly in front of you. Driveway is well marked.
