Summary: We booked through VRBO but confirmation all of a sudden came from Vacasa. It wasn't clear who we were supposed to communicate with--neither organization was helpful. Customer service was simply a call center (no one local) and they were little, if any help. Check-in service needs tweaking. We couldn't get our keys (which were a couple miles off property in a storage unit--and then only one set for 4 adults) until 4pm. Couldn't get into the gate of the property complex until we checked in at the office (which was inside the gate and closed at 4pm). So...what to do? After some fast-talking with the gate attendant and giving all kinds of information (yes, we did have our confirmations--from both VRBO and VACASA), we were finally allowed in. We parked without a parking permit in a "parking for residents only, all others will be towed" area due to the office being closed. We finally got into our unit. It was HOT! The thermostat read literally 84 degrees! The first thing we saw (what a welcome) was a sign on the counter informing us "Don't touch the thermostat!" Really?! We ignored the sign and turned down the temp but it kept going back to 84 for the first 3 days. (Were the owners controlling it with their phone?) After that, we were able to adjust it as necessary. Great location, view and pool. Laundry facilities just down the hall. Furniture/decor in unit could use some updating. Our visit started out on a very low note but we ended up enjoying our stay.
