Beautiful Chateau style home with large and well-appointed gourmet kitchen w/ gas stove, 2 ovens (one lg, one sm), refrigerator, white wine refrigerator, and a plate warmer. Complete w/ balcony for viewing stunning sunsets and hot air balloons in the summer and a vast lighted patio off kitchen. Main floor includes a primary suite private from balance of home. Upstairs you will find two bedrooms, a bonus room, and an office/library. A separate and large private lower floor studio apartment may be rented separately or added to the main house (pricing negotiated at time of booking). You and your family or friends will be delighted to experience this beautiful home known locally as "the castle on the hill" that most certainly delivers. Only 1-10 minutes to many wine tasting rooms and wineries, we invite you to share in this lovely, elegantly casual home. ADA entrance is possible with one step to back entry. Burke Gilman trail and Tolt Hill water pipeline trail 1-2 min drive. Parking available at trail entrances. Restaurants - The Barking Frog (my favorite), The Herb Farm (an amazing gastronomical experience making it one of the finest multi-course restaurants in the world. Advance reservations required), Heritate, Pable e Pablo, Purple, VIvi Pizza, Tarte Bakery, and more within 1 min drive.

Summary: The home was beautiful, the view was relaxing. To be brief, the house has a lot of potential, but owners are selling and it feels like they took what they needed and left unwanted items. Towels were worn out, primary bed didn't seem like a real mattress but instead looked like 2 mattress topper stacked. Sheets in one room had dog hair and what looked like fresh mess/stain. Kitchen had enough of what we needed, but it was not clean. All appliances were dirty, all glassware was dirty. It felt like we were staying in a personal home that had clean surfaces but was very dirty past that. We asked for wifi code and were given one that "should work" (after a long delay) but it didn't work. House was nearly 50degrees when we arrived. Owner had been there the previous day so could have turned on the heat. Owner said she rents out another house, but the whole experience felt like she was very inexperienced. We did give feedback, along with pictures of the sheets, dirty dishes, horribly dirty garbage can and appliances. Owner said she would look into a discount but has not followed up and it's been a few days. For the nightly price this house was a huge disappointment. And the experience was made worse by the owners response.
