Have fun with the entire family at this updated mountain home. Located in Beech Mountain only 1 mile to the ski slopes, hiking/biking trails, restaurants, and shops yet nestled in the trees perfect for a private vacation. 5 bedrooms and 3 full baths. Lots of special touches and details have been added including expansive porches, hot tub, game room, custom swings and fire pit area. A/C and Heat for comfort year-round. Garage to store your ski and bike gear. Well behaved dogs are welcome, but must be pre-approved and included in the booking reservation to account for the pet fee.
The House:
Enter via the circular driveway off of the paved road with easy access to the front door and plenty of parking for multiple cars. Go up two small steps to the covered porch that leads to the front door.
Once inside, you are welcomed to the main floor with an open concept living space which includes the living room, kitchen, and dining room. Cozy up on the leather couch in the living room in front of the fireplace and catch up on your favorite show or curl up with your book. Enjoy making meals in the well-stocked kitchen including a coffee/tea/hot chocolate bar, air fryer, large crock pot for easy meals, and large griddle for a yummy pancake breakfast. Also on this floor is a queen bedroom with a TV and a full bathroom with tub/shower combo. From the living room you can walk out on the large, covered porch with a gas grill, outdoor dining table, bar top, and lounge chairs perfect for taking in the mountain views.
Go up the stairs and you will find 2 bedrooms with TVs (1 King, 1 Queen) and a full bathroom with a tub/shower combo. The Queen Bedroom also has a private workstation with a small desk.
Head back to the main floor and then downstairs to the basement floor for 2 additional bedrooms and a full bathroom with large, tiled shower. The first bedroom has a Full-Size bunkbed with a twin pull out trundle. The other bedroom has a Twin Size bunkbed with a twin pull out trundle. This room also serves as the game room with a large TV, gaming system, arcade style video game, and foosball table. The futon couch also folds out for an additional sleeping area if needed. Off of this room is the garage that leads to the lower-level deck which has the large hot tub and lounging area.
Walk out the garage or lower-level door to the flat yard space which is perfect for outdoor games or sit on one of the two large swings surrounding the firepit area and take in the beautiful, seasonal mountain views.
Several hiking trails are within walking distance from the home including the Upper Pond Trail. The Emerald Outback trail system is also located on Beech Mountain and includes over 8 miles of trails near the summit. The free kids sledding hill and fenced in dog park are also located just up the road at the top of the mountain behind the Brick Oven Pizza restaurant.
A short 1-mile drive will take you to the Beech Mountain Ski resort which includes the ski slopes, mountain biking trails, scenic chair lift, disc golf course and the Beech Mountain Brewing Co. Taproom and Grill. Check out the Beech Mountain Ski Resort website for all of the fun events.
Things to note:
-Winter weather in the Blue Ridge Mountains can occur from November through April. For your safety, please be prepared to drive in snow and ice. This requires 4-wheel drive, good tires and/or snow chains. It is the guest's responsibility to be prepared for hazardous road conditions. There will be no reimbursement or rescheduling as a result of weather conditions.
- Beech Mountain rests at over 5,500 feet in elevation therefore the road to the top of the mountain is curvy and steep in certain areas; however, it is state maintained and highly trafficked all season of the year.
- Washer and Dryer are available for use.
- Bed linens and towels are provided.
