Wooded hills surround the town, whose history can be traced back to 1216 and which is not far from Gera, Greiz and Weida. The location in the middle of nature makes Berga an ideal starting point for nature lovers, hikers, cyclists or even horseback riders, each of whom will find a well-signposted network of trails in the entire area.
