Overview: Welcome to the “North Country”, a very beautiful part of upstate New York. Located in the most northerly part of the Adirondack Mountain range, this beautiful home is situated on Lake Titus, with over 100’ of lakefront and easy access to this private freshwater lake, with a waterfront deck for many fun activities. Return to nature and enjoy the luxury of a three-bedroom, Adirondack-style cabin in a secluded setting, almost a mile off the main road, surrounded by acres of natural forest. Walk down to the dock with your morning coffee to sit in an Adirondack chair and take in the view, sit around the crackling campfire in the evening roasting marshmallows, hike a mountain trail, canoe, kayak and swim! All this without “roughing” it, as the house has every convenience to make your stay comfortable. The Space: Drive down the driveway through a lush, green forest to one of the most private properties on the lake. There is adequate parking for 3+ cars in the driveway. This year-round home is a two-story log cabin rebuilt from the ground up in 2007 and tastefully decorated in a traditional Adirondack theme. The yard is elegantly terraced with perennial landscaping. This house comfortably sleeps 8 people with three bedrooms, each with comfortable queen-sized beds, plus two twin loft beds in the den downstairs. It has two custom baths, a washer and dryer, and two large lounge areas. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need, the dining area easily seats six, and there is a separate area for additional seating or to play games (which are provided). This house has both central air conditioning and heating to keep you comfortable. There is a large screened in porch, an outdoor sitting area with a Weber BBQ grill, and another patio with a fire pit, hammock, and comfortable furniture that overlooks the lake. Head down to the dock and enjoy the beautiful views! Lounge in the Adirondack chairs or enjoy some water activities with two adult kayaks, two kid kayaks, a canoe, a paddleboard, floats and more! Life jackets and fishing gear are available. If you are interested in bringing your own watercraft, there is a bay in the boathouse that accommodates a boat up to 20’. The lake can be accessed through a launch area at Smallman’s Marina at the north end of the lake. Guest Access: Guests have full access to the entirety of the house and boathouse, but no access to the garage. Please, no pets allowed. Other Things to Note: Looking for a fun day trip? Head over to the winter Olympic training facilities at Lake Placid, home of the “Miracle on Ice”. Ride the gondola to the top of Whiteface Mountain and take in the breathtaking views of the Adirondacks. Shop at the outlets, visit Fort William Henry or spend the day riding rollercoasters at Six Flags in Lake George. Baseball fans can take a road trip south to Cooperstown (4 hours) to see the Baseball Hall of Fame. Horse racing fans can make the trek to Saratoga Springs (2.5 hours) to place their bets, see a concert at Saratoga Performing Arts Center, taste the mineral water at the world famous mineral springs and walk Broadway.
