Negative: It was very dirty in places & run down, the oven had to be cleaned before we could use it, the drains were blocked in the shower and sinks causing water to leak out into the floor and the bath leaked causing water to drip through the ceiling to the lounge below . There were lots of dead insects and cobwebs on curtains and corners of each room. There were sockets that were very loose and detached from the walls, light bulbs were missing (no light for the landing /stairs area . The kitchen sink tap also leaked water which kept going all over the work top , dirty chopping boards and very old utensils dirt utensils in cutlery draws that had crumbs and dirt collected in them! The host did attempt to unblock the drains but was unsuccessful and for the duration of our stay we were unable to use the bathroom sink as the leak was not fixed . We also only had access to 1 shower as the bath was also not able to be used after our first night (stayed for 5 nights) The host explained after mentioning all the issues that the owners do not want to spend any money maintaining the property so it has become run down and also explained that the cleaner is not very good. As you can imagine paying £1200 you do not expect this poor standard of accommodation even in a property of this period, I was very disappointed
