Welcome to our charming Carriage House in the heart of the New Smyrna Beach historic district and a three-minute walk to scenic downtown Canal Street for shopping, art galleries, antiques, bars and restaurants. You'll feel like you're staying in an elegant B & B -- only with more privacy! ALSO AVAILABLE for rent on our property next door is THE COASTAL CABANA, a quaint and well appointed one bedroom bungalow that sleeps two (one couple) at Vrbo listing Vrbo 893313. Renting both The Carriage House + The Coastal Cabana would be ideal for three couples, a large family or group of friends. THE CARRIAGE HOUSE is situated on a long lot with mature oak trees and tucked away for quiet & private enjoyment. Large parking pad and long driveway provide rare premium parking for boat or RV. Includes the use of private swimming pool, heated outdoor shower, gas grill, free wireless Internet, cable television and a private backyard area with fire pit. Central air/heat and ceiling fans throughout. Just a few short steps to the RIVER for fishing or kayaking and a continuous sidewalk to Flagler Avenue and BEACH (bicycle 10 minutes or drive 4 minutes) and nearby bicycle rental, boat rental and public boat ramp (2 minutes). There are two nearby public golf courses (5 minute drive): New Smyrna Beach Municipal Golf Course and Hidden Lakes Golf Course. Gorgeous hardwood floors and open floor plan with 12 ft. cathedral ceilings. French doors open up to a second bedroom / office with a queen sleeper sofa and large desk & desk chair. The Sun Room overlooks the lovely tropical grounds, ancient oak trees, barbecue barn & pool with a bar counter / bar stools and eat-in dining area. We provide all of the standard creature comforts: flat screen cable TV, small and large appliances, dishwasher, books, cards, board games, dishes, glassware, pots, pans, cutlery, Tupperware, utensils, basic toiletries, hair dryer, iron, ironing board, vacuum cleaner, full length mirror, bath towels & washcloths, beach towels & beach chairs. There is a spacious storage room with washer and dryer. The Carriage House is one level, however access does require walking up one flight of stairs. Please contact us about bringing a dog; prior approval is necessary and there is an additional fee. We suggest an easy, fun day by packing a picnic lunch, surf boards, boogie boards, fishing poles and other gear in the car and drive right onto our smooth-surfaced beach from the nearby Flagler Avenue beach entrance. The beach has a gentle incline into the water, making it easy to wade, swim or ride the waves. We will make every effort to create a get-away experience that is charming and memorable.
