Seabrook Island Helpful Tips
Seabrook Island restaurants are open to the public, but there are some differences in access for non-property owners. The Seabrook Island Clubhouse, Lake House, and Beach Club restaurants require a daily use permit (DUP) for anyone other than property owners. The Beach Club also requires a DUP if you plan on parking your car at the club.
If you don’t have a car pass and want to visit the Beach Club, you can park in a designated area outside the gate. For short stays, I recommend that you pick up your DUP at the gate booth when entering the island. If you’re staying longer than a week or two, you can get your DUP at the Lake House Reception Desk during business hours.
Anyone off-island can access all other restaurants on Seabrook Island without a DUP during regular business hours.
Now, onto the restaurants themselves.
The Seabrook Island Club
The Seabrook Island Club is located at the heart of the island and offers the best views of any restaurant on the island. The Seabrook Island Clubhouse offers both casual and more formal dining options with outdoor and indoor seating.
Enjoy a drink at one of the two bars inside, or indulge in a cocktail by the pool. Also, if you are looking for a fantastic meal with a beautiful view, you need to check out this club.
Lake House
If you’re looking for a casual waterfront setting, the Lake House is your place. Situated on the water’s edge of Seabrook Island Lake, it offers incredible views of the lake and tidal marshlands. The restaurant also offers outdoor seating on its deck or patio.
The menu features classic American cuisine with a Lowcountry accent. For dinner, expect entrée selections such as grilled beef tenderloin medallions with crispy fried oysters; pecan-crusted rainbow trout with lemon butter sauce; and pan-seared scallops over wild mushroom risotto. Steaks are also very popular here.
Bohicket’s Lounge
Bohicket’s Lounge, located in the Bohicket Marina Village, is a full-service lounge offering indoor and outdoor seating, a full bar, and a beachfront resort’s amenities. With stunning views of the marina and live music every Friday night, this is one of Seabrook Island’s most popular destinations.
Are you looking for something more filling than your average appetizer or snack? Then, check out Bohicket’s extensive menu of delicious entrees. You can enjoy everything from burgers to steaks to seafood sandwiches to salads, all prepared with the freshest ingredients and served with a smile.
If you’re not in the mood for a full meal, Bohicket’s also offers smaller plates perfect for sharing with friends and family. Whatever you order, pair it with one of the many local craft beers on tap or a glass from their impressive wine selection.
Seaview Terrace
Seaview Terrace is a lovely restaurant on Seabrook Island. It has a beautiful view of the Atlantic Ocean and Kiawah Island, and you can see the sunset as you eat your dinner. The restaurant’s menu changes every day, and it usually includes at least one fish dish and one pasta or meat dish.
You can choose from an excellent wine list or try one of their specialty cocktails like the “Pelican’s Perch,” made with rum, blue curacao, lime juice, and pineapple juice.
Seaview Terrace is open on Wednesday through Sunday for dinner. There is a seafood buffet that includes fresh fish caught right off of Seabrook Island on Friday nights. The restaurant also offers lunch during the summer on Wednesday through Saturday.
In addition, they have special events throughout the year, including live music, wine tastings, and holiday meals like Thanksgiving dinner.
Palmetto Room
The Palmetto Room is Seabrook Island’s fine-dining restaurant. It’s open to the public, so you don’t have to be a resident or a vacationer to enjoy its elegant atmosphere and delicious menu.
The Palmetto Room offers indoor seating and a large outdoor patio with an upper deck that overlooks the golf course. The restaurant is known for its excellent service and upscale menu items, including ribeye steak, pan-seared scallops, and duck breast.
This restaurant is open for dinner every night and serves brunch on Sunday.
Pelican’s Nest
Open to the public, Pelican’s Nest is a classic beachfront restaurant with a beautiful oceanfront deck. The restaurant offers breakfast and dinner daily, including local specialties, with the bar open all day. You can expect to find plenty of fresh seafood on the menu, as well as salads and sandwiches that are perfect for a casual lunch.
If you’re just in the mood for a drink, Pelican’s Nest has an extensive beer list and cocktails. However, don’t miss their signature Peli-Mojito made with Island Rum, fresh mint, and lime.
